Mye Green Mango – Authentic Caribbean Flavors and Warm Hospitality in London SE6

Today, we had jerk chicken from Mayo Green, near Catford Station, and it was absolutely delicious! The pumpkin rice was perfectly balanced, and the jerk chicken was cooked to perfection. I doubt you’ll find anything more flavorful in the area. Marcia, the owner, is such a lovely lady—she’s always introducing us to something new. Today, she let me try the lamb, and wow… it just melts in your mouth! Now I have no idea what to pick next time because I’m a huge jerk chicken fan. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor—go there and thank me later!

The lady at the counter was Asian but knew the Caribbean menu very well. She was very friendly, gave me great recommendations, and the customer service was excellent, which I don’t often see in Caribbean restaurants. The food was also delicious; I had two beef patties and a lunch meal.

I am not one to visit caribbean shops because the atmosphere is generally unpredictable and the food doesn't taste like home! However, ever since coming across Mye Green Mango who were initially the main place I sourced my patties, it has been non-stop visits! The food is tasty and I can tell it is freshly made and made with love which makes a huge difference nowadays! Their customer service is on point! The owner is always very welcoming and I can see she is well respected in the local community and I've seen her offering and feeding homeless and vulnerable people on the odd occasions I have been there. To top it off the shop is super clean and the glass is sparkling! I have been recommending friends and family to visit and try their food and so far the feedback has been positive! Thank you for being one of the best caribbean shops that cook with taste and combine it with friendly and smiling customer service! You will see me again soon!
